Thank you for sharing and being part of this journey! Remember, this is a safe and confidential space, so please have your cameras on with your name displayed on Zoom (join HERE!). Join the chat, share your stories, and reflect on the topics. Here’s the link to our calendar: Project Reset Calendar. Try to stick to a consistent time each week, but we understand if you need to switch sessions.
This week, we will discuss the concept: “I had surgery on my stomach, not my head”, focusing on how our thoughts and emotions shape our behaviors. Remember, every positive change you make starts in your mind, and this is the foundation upon which long-term success is built.
As homework, your key task after the live session is to celebrate your daily wins—no matter how small. These wins could be a mindful food choice, staying active, or recognizing a trigger and responding differently. Here’s a simple daily log: WINS! to help you be deliberate and thoughtful about the positive steps you’re taking each day.
Why focus on wins and not on areas for improvement? Because negative self-talk is second nature to all of us. Shifting your mindset to recognize your successes helps you build resilience and keeps you on track for lasting change.
Keep trusting the process. You’re doing important work!
The mission? Movement. The goal? To find activities that you genuinely enjoy doing. Movement doesn’t have to feel like a chore—it can (and should!) be something that fits seamlessly into your life, brings you joy, and leaves you feeling good. Whether you love walking, dancing, swimming, or are looking to try something new like kickboxing or Pilates, there’s no “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to moving your body.
Your mission this week is to create a list of activities you enjoy or have always wanted to try. Then, pick at least one and schedule it in your calendar. Make movement happen! Let’s be real—we get it. We’re not here to ask you to eat bland, boring meals that leave you unsatisfied and obsessing over what’s next. That’s not sustainable, and it’s definitely not what mindful eating is about! We understand that everyone has different lifestyles, preferences, budgets, and even stomach sizes, and we’re here to work with that.
Meal planning is an essential part of the mindset work we’re doing. It shifts the focus from reacting to hunger or emotions to proactively taking control.
Mindful meals bring intention to your meal planning. Just like mindful eating, mindful meals are rooted in awareness and purpose. Planning our meals ahead of time allows you to make thoughtful, balanced choices, reducing the likelihood of impulsive or emotional eating.
The goal with mindful meals and planning isn’t to force rigid, tasteless options onto your plate. Instead, it’s about finding delicious, satisfying meals that you enjoy. Whether you’re cooking for yourself, your family, or navigating busy days, mindful meal planning is about creating balance and flexibility—without sacrificing flavor or joy.
We’re kicking things off with a One-Day Meal Plan Guide to give you a manageable, bite-sized start to healthy eating without feeling overwhelmed. Enjoy this one-day preview and let us know your favorite recipe or snack!
New beginnings aren’t just about starting something new—they’re about showing up for yourself, getting gritty, and staying committed when things get tough. It’s time to make the decision to prioritize YOU. Commit to your goals, lean into the discomfort, and allow yourself the grace to grow through it all.
Ask yourself: Why do I feel I need a reset? Why now? Maybe you’ve hit a plateau, lost motivation, or feel disconnected from your journey. That’s where Project Reset steps in—to reignite that spark and help you refocus on the goals you’ve set. What do you hope to get from this reset? More energy? Confidence? A stronger mindset? Let’s make sure you get exactly what you’re after by staying accountable, getting clear on your vision, and creating a plan that works.
If only I could go back to when things were seemingly so easy, and the weight just fell off while I slept. But this is a unicorn memory – the idea that everything was simple before, and that if only you could go back, you’d succeed again. The truth is, real transformation happens after that honeymoon phase, when the initial excitement fades, and you’re faced with the hard work of consistency and self-compassion. That’s where true growth occurs.
It’s time to make the shift. Set the goals, make your timeline, and start checking them off. We’re in this together, and we’ll make certain you succeed by showing up every day. Stay present, remove distractions, and focus on yourself—because you deserve it.
