More than 50 patients, friends, and supporters showed up for Team BodyByBariatrics at the Run Nona 5K not just for themselves, but for someone they had never met.
Together, they took on the challenge and earned another FREE bariatric surgery scholarship for someone ready to transform their life.
They gave their time. They pushed themselves physically. They invested in a mission they believe in because they know firsthand how life-changing bariatric surgery can be.

Anyone age 18 or older can apply, no matter where you live. Our preoperative process and lifelong follow-up care are available virtually, so you can stay connected with the BodyByBariatrics team from anywhere in the world.
The scholarship recipient will travel to the Orlando, Florida area for surgery at The Surgical Institute of Central Florida and will be responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.

The scholarship recipient will be announced LIVE on Instagram on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 7:00 PM ET.
You must follow BodyByBariatrics and Dr. Dovec on Instagram and be present during the Instagram Live to win.
Our team will guide you through the preoperative process, determine which bariatric procedure is medically appropriate for you, and coordinate your surgery in the Orlando area.
All recipients must meet our standard medical requirements and be cleared for bariatric surgery before proceeding.
